Sharing August Love and a Life Update…
Hello my lovely Sparkly , a very happy August to you. I’ve so much to tell you, some you may know and some maybe not so I thought I’d share it all here…
Our big news this month is that Adam and I have taken the decision to close our Bakewell shop, Acorn. It’s never an easy decision to make, we’ve enjoyed our time in Bakewell so much and met some lovely people, many of whom are perhaps reading this letter! Without going into too much detail, we found the landlords very difficult to work with. We’re so very fortunate to work for ourselves and one of our values is that we only work with people we like and trust. So not a light decision, but I always feel it’s best to trust your gut instinct in these matters and so, after five years, it’s time for a change.
We’ll always have fond memories of our beautiful Bakewell boutique….
Acorn Jewellers will continue as an online jewellers so do feel free to pop over and browse our new collections. You can discover the jewellery at Acorn here.
The good news is that you’ll see a lot more of Adam in Chesterfield. We absolutely love working together and although he’ll be behind the scenes a lot, he’ll also be in the shop occasionally so do feel free to pop in and say hello. Having just one shop will allow us to start being creative with our own collections. You’ll also see more jewellery on our website which is great for those of you who live further away.

In Other News…
We’re extremely proud and delighted to announce that we’re finalists for the prestigious title of ‘Retailer of the Year’ in the ‘Love Chesterfield Awards 2022. Thank-You so much for voting for us, it means the absolute world. We now have a mystery shop and them a panel of judges decide the winner…eeek! We’re in a very tough category with Dotique, Hasland Pet Supplies and Master Debonair so keep your fingers crossed for us.
The glittering awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday the 12th of October at The Winding Wheel and I promise to take you along virtually (I’m sure I’ll be going live throughout the event!). Pictured above is last year’s event where we were delighted to take home the title of ‘Retailer of the Year’. Open: Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am until 5pm
Closed : Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays.
