Queen Elizabeth II
1926-2022

Like many of you, we were saddened to hear of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Our Queen will have different meanings for many people. To us, she represented stability, consistency, dignity and grace. A golden thread reaching through the ages, bringing the compassion and togetherness of a post war age into the new millennium.

It’s strange how someone you’ve never met can feature strongly in your life. Such a familiar and comforting presence, seen in so many forms, stamps, coins and photographs, everyday.

As a mark of respect, we will be closed for the day of Her Majesty’s funeral, Monday the 19th of September.

You may have noticed that we’ve also been a little quieter on our social media channels. This feels the right thing for us to do during the period of national mourning. We’ll still be keeping you up to date, just in a quieter way.

We like to think of Adorn as an escape from reality so, after a week’s break, we will be continuing with our live shows on Facebook. In sad times we are very grateful for our wonderful community of Sparklies, you make the world a brighter place.

We send our heartfelt condolences to His Majesty King Charles III and The Royal Family at this difficult time.

We’re also sending our love and warm wishes to you.

Laura Jo, Adam, Kermit and Heathcliff
