A wonderful silver ring with a fascinating, deadly history.
‘Poison Rings’ originated in Ancient India and the Far East. Used as keepsake rings for relics of Saints and precious mementos, these rings were also popular in Ancient Rome.
The history of these rings becomes darker in the middle ages when they were sometimes used for slipping a dose of poison into an enemies drink. A traditional poison ring has a very small container under a hinged lid.
This fabulous spider ring is created in the traditional poison ring style and features a small container beneath a hinged lid.
