Extra Large Amber Ammonite Pendant

Ammonites were shelled cephalopods that died out about 66 million years ago. Fossils of them are found all around the world, sometimes in very large concentrations.  Teaming this design with amber from the Baltic coast of Poland makes an eye catching and unusual pendant.

Ammonites were very inspiring creatures. Born with tiny shells, they would add new chambers onto the shell as they grew. They would move their entire body into the new chamber and seal off the old one. This practice is a wonderful reminder to accept change as you grow and to continue to move forward.  It also reminds us to live in the present and make the past history.
