Ring Sizing Guide

Get the Perfect Fit

Getting the right ring size is essential for comfort, style and to protect your precious jewellery. A ring that fits too tight can be uncomfortable, while one that’s too loose may slip off or catch more easily. Below’s a guide & tools to help you find the ideal ring size for you.

How We Help at Adorn

Full range of UK letter sizes (including half-sizes) are used across our rings.

If your required size isn’t listed for a ring, we can adjust it for you. Just contact us for details.

You can request a ring sizer from us using “Ring Size Request” with your postal address. This allows you to try sizes at home.

Measure Your Finger at Home

  1. Choose a ring you already own that fits the correct finger.
  2. Use a ring sizer tool, or wrap a strip of paper/string around your finger base, mark where it overlaps.
  3. Measure the length (in millimetres) of the paper/string and compare with a size chart.
  4. When doing this, consider your knuckle size (if large, go a half size up so the ring passes over comfortably).

Tip: Measure your finger at room temperature (not too cold or hot), ideally at the end of the day when fingers are slightly larger.

* These values are approximate. Slight variations may occur between different designers.

Things to Consider

Band width

Thick bands feel tighter; you might need to go up a half size if the ring is wide.

Temperature / swelling

Fingers swell in warm weather, after exercise, or at night — size based on typical conditions.

Finger differences

Each finger may have a different size; your dominant hand finger may also be larger.

Material & design

Heavy or gem-set rings sometimes require a looser fit for comfort.

If It Doesn’t Fit?

Many of our rings can be resized, reach out to discuss your options.

If resizing isn’t possible (design etc.), we can often exchange the piece for one in the correct size (see our exchange policy).

FAQs

Can I order a ring online without knowing my size?

Yes, you can request a ring sizer from us, or use an existing ring + measure it as outlined above.

What happens if I'm between sizes?

Usually, it’s better to go slightly larger rather than smaller so the ring fits over your knuckle comfortably.

Are half sizes available?

Yes, many rings are available in half sizes (e.g. K ½) to give a more precise fit.

Is there a difference between men’s and women’s ring sizes?

Not in the sizing system per se — letters and measurements are the same. But styles, width, and individual comfort preferences may differ.
